Guardian Self Store Extension

MSB delivered the full build package for the new-build extension at Guardian Self Store in Cirencester. The curved steel-framed building has an upper floor and a full-height glazed frontage, and sits alongside the existing facility to support Guardian's latest stage of growth. Scope covered the curved steel frame, anthracite and real timber cladding, the upper floor, and external works including tarmac, access and parking.

The curve set the approach for the whole job. Every bay was set out individually across the radius rather than repeated along a standard grid, with the geometry resolved at design stage and carried through fabrication and erection. Fentrade Limited manufactured and supplied faceted AluK SL52 curtain walling across two sides of the building, following the same line in facets, in RAL 7016 with tinted glazing to match the original store.
