Matthew Stephens, Managing Director of MSB Steel, carries on a long family tradition of manufacturing steel framed buildings, going back three generations. His grandfather built many of the steel framed buildings in the Forest of Dean and adjacent counties, and although MSB still have a strong presence locally, their operational reach now spreads across the UK. Under Matthews’s leadership, MSB continues to grow exponentially and its healthy order book is a reflection of an unerring focus on quality and on-time delivery.

MSB was established in November 2018, initially focused on structural steelwork, with a dedicated five-person workforce and a clear ambition to grow across the construction sector.
Following initial success, MSB expanded its in-house services to include groundworks and internal fit-out - laying the foundation for becoming a fully integrated design and build contractor.
In 2022, MSB successfully delivered its first full design and build project at Edgewicks, marking a pivotal milestone in the company’s evolution and delivery capability.
MSB was awarded its first multi-unit industrial scheme at Longhope Business Park - over 250,000 sq.ft and valued at £10M+, setting a new benchmark for project scale.
To support growth, MSB expanded operations into an additional 30,000 sq.ft of workshop space and 5,000 sq.ft of modern, purpose-built office facilities.
