Commercial projects benefit most from decisions made early - MSB value engineered the slab and foundation package on Claybrook's new showroom and office in Redditch to support cost savings without compromising structural performance, and worked directly alongside the client's own architect (CRO Architects) to value engineer the design on the Severn Dance Studio development before construction started.

MSB Group delivered a full structural steel package for thirteen new units at Claybrook, Redditch, including a showroom and office facility. In addition, the team carried out value engineering and redesign of the slab and foundation package, supporting cost savings while maintaining overall structural performance.

MSB completed construction of three units on the site: a 10,000 sq ft commercial warehouse, a purpose-built dance studio (10,000 sq ft over two floors) for Severn Dance Studios, and a retail office space and showroom (8,500 sq ft over two floors). Working with architect CROE Architects - the design was value engineered ahead of construction, with elements of the approach informed by a previous MSB-completed building the client had viewed.

To meet the client’s vision, MSB carried out all aspects of the build, including groundworks, construction of the steel-framed structure, mezzanine floors, cladding, and the installation of high-performance doors and windows. The interior fit-out included custom architectural floating stairs, designed to provide a striking visual feature while optimising space and functionality.
